Personal Statement
I have been excited about college ever since I was a little kid. I remember my mom always encouraging me to be successful and telling me the importance of higher education. Because of her, I have always worked hard to make good grades and focus on education. My mother still pushes me to do my best and I do not want to let her down.
I have always loved learning. Throughout my high school career I have taken a variety of courses including technical, music, computer, and business classes. I like to take in everything I can and I can never learn too much. Having a little knowledge in every field has given me a certain creativity which allows me too think of new ideas while using a solid thought process.
Some of my hobbies include instrumental music, web-design, and computer research. As a member of band for seven years, I have learned a lot about music and music theory. I would like to be in a band class in college to continue learning more. Web design is a hobby that keeps growing for me. I have worked on many web sites for churches, teachers, and even the Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Academy. Researching computer science has opened up many opportunities for me. It has helped me with my work with web-design and has given me an opportunity to work for Network Management Group Incorporated.
I cannot wait for college to start. It will be an exciting point in my life and a great time for me to make important decisions about my future. I am excited to meet new students and teachers. Also, I am excited to further my learning and bring on new adventures.
