“Should Euthanasia be Legal In America?” described many views towards legalizing euthanasia. I thought you might like to know where I stand. I believe any form of killing, whether suicide or mercy, is the worst sin imaginable. I can understand why someone would request to have their life ended because of an incurable illness, but I do not see euthanasia as being the best way to go. I believe palliative care has reduced the amount of depression in hospitals. With that in mind, I could never live in the Netherlands knowing that most physicians are accustom to choosing euthanasia over palliative care. Also as a strong believer in faith, I could never choose to end my life early, in fear of disrespecting life given to me. I am not bashing how defenders view euthanasia. I am open to opinions and very understanding when it comes to different viewpoints. I like to study both sides of a story, and often find myself stuck in the middle of an issue, but I am sure of my position when it comes to euthanasia.
